Mr Wim Danau, born in Halle, Belgium, trained first as a medical doctor and then specialised in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He studied medicine at the Free University of Brussels in 1983 - 1990.  In 1993 he completed an extra licence for microsurgical reconstruction at the Université Catholique de Louvain. Mr Wim Danau qualified as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 1996.

Wim Danau is a consultant in plastic & reconstructive surgery at BE Clinic, a private clinic for plastic surgery and has carried out thousands of cosmetic surgical procedures.

Mr Danau is a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery, and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council (GMC reference number 6034993) and is a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.  He is also registered with the Irish Medical Council (registration number 092395).
