Minimal access hip and knee replacement
Over the last 15 years he has developed a special interest in reconstruction of the knee and hip.
His particular interests at present include minimally invasive total knee replacement (MIS), a procedure which involves far less soft tissue and muscle damage and allows the patient to mobilise quicker with much less pain and revision surgery of the arthritic knee.
He also performs both cemented and un-cemented hips and is developing experience in the one-incision minimally invasive hip replacement.
His other interests are arthroscopy and reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament. His preferred techniques are using hamstring grafts which he has found to give good results and also allow patients to undergo rapid rehabilitation.
