Sean Curry: Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon
Specialist in knee, hip and trauma surgery including knee and hip replacements
Mr Sean Curry, a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with an NHS practice at Barts and The London Hospital has a special interest in knee and hip problems as well as treating a variety of fractures. He has taught and lectured on various orthopaedic topics both in the UK and internationally. He is a reviewer for the British Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery.
He qualified from The London Hospital Medical College (Univ. of London) in 1992 and has been practising orthopaedics continuously since 1996; initially on the Percival Pott (Barts) rotation, where he attained the intercollegiate specialist examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics. In October 2002 he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
As part of his training he spent time amongst others at The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. As well as this, he spent a Fellowship year in Australia, in Adelaide and Sydney both in Trauma Orthopaedics and in Specialist Hip and Knee surgery. He was a Fellow for six months at The North Sydney Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Institute.
He was appointed as an Orthopaedic Consultant to St Barts and The Royal London Hospitals in 2002.

Teaching Interests
Mr Curry has a keen interest in teaching and takes an active interest in training local Specialist Registrars. He teaches on several regional knee courses and has also taught knee replacement surgery internationally, as well as lecturing both at national and international level. He is Programme Director of The Percivall Pott Programme, co-ordinating the training of junior doctors, both within London & East Anglia.
