  • Harley Street
  • Liverpool Street
  • Canary Wharf

Who are City Psychology Group?

CPG were founded by Dr Michael Sinclair (Head Psychologist) and Raoul Barducci (Practice Manager). They employ a variety of mental health professionals, including chartered psychologists and psychotherapists.  All their practitioners are fully registered and accredited and have extensive clinical and organisational experience.  CPG pride themselves on tailoring their psychology services to fit in with the requirements of the client and see collaboration and confidential communication as the key to successful treatment.

Psychological therapy and counselling at CPG

CPG have developed a brief and innovative approach to psychological counselling, moving away from the belief that results can only be achieved with hours of therapy.  They aim to empower the client early on in the treatment process, enabling them to feel that they can cope for longer periods of time between appointments.  The approach is about getting the best possible results in a time-frame suited to each individual client.

The psychologists at CPG are highly skilled in helping their clients to resolve their problems using a tailored combination of various therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.  They provide therapy and counselling for individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups.

For those not able to visit one of CPG's offices, it is now possible to consult one of their psychologists using Online Therapy with Skype.  Interestingly, clients who have used this service have reported a greater sense of personal control over sessions, as well as the more obvious advantages of less time lost to travelling and having to take time off work.  It is also suitable for people suffering from conditions that make it difficult to travel, such as agoraphobia.

How to make an appointment with a Harley Street psychologist

There are two ways you can access CPG services:

Referrals from health professionals

Simply ask the professional referring you to send a letter, fax or email to CPG; this should include your contact details and a brief summary of your circumstances.  The office at CPG will contact you within 24 hours of receiving the referral to make your initial appointment.

Self-referrals

It is possible to see one of the psychologists at CPG without referral from a health professional.  To do this, you can contact CPG direct on 0845 0177 838.

Appointment Times:

Monday to Friday: 7am - 9pm

Saturdays: 9am - 6 pm

CPG and all its practitioners are registered as providers of psychological healthcare and treatment with all the major private medical/health insurance companies, including AXA PPP, BUPA, CIGNA, PruHealth amongst many others. With regards to private medical insurance, you may find that you need to meet with a psychiatrist first to validate a claim. In this case CPG can help you to arrange this with one of its specialist consultants (see Fees and Insurance).
